1. Improved system performance.
2. Extended battery life.
3. Enhanced compatibility with various third-party apps.
4. Better system stability.
Below are the steps to update your software using your computer.
Before you start the update, make sure you have a strong network connection and have backed up your phone.
1. Using your computer, go to the OPPO support website for your region.
- For instance, if you're in the Philippines, use this URL: https://support.oppo.com/ph/software-update/. Make sure 'ph' in the URL matches your current location for the right information.
2. Once you're on the support homepage, scroll down to find [Convenient Services], and then click on [Software Updates].
3. Check to see if there's an available update for your phone. If there is, click on the specific OPPO Phone model for the software update you desire.
4. Read the software update details, and then click on [Download]. You'll see the file and the estimated download time at the bottom left of your browser.
5. After the download is finished, click on [Show in folder] to find the software update file.
6. Connect your OPPO phone to your computer and select [Transfer Files]. A pop-up will appear on your computer; click [Open device to view files].
7. Open the two folders on your computer and drag the Software update file into the phone storage folder. Allow it to complete the transfer process.
8. On your phone, open the [File Manager] or [My Files] app, go to [Phone storage], and locate your device's Software Package. Install the file and wait for the installation to complete.
Note: During the installation, your OPPO smartphone will restart several times. Please avoid interrupting this process to prevent any potential issues.
