If you’ve ever been locked out of your LAVA Z50 because of a Factory Reset Protection (FRP) lock, you know how frustrating it can be. But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! In this guide, I’ll walk you through a straightforward method to bypass the FRP lock on your LAVA Z50 using the SP Flash Tool. Let's get started!

What is FRP Lock, and Why Does It Matter?

FRP lock is a security feature on Android devices designed to protect your data in case of theft. It kicks in when someone resets the phone to factory settings without logging out of the associated Google account. While it’s an excellent safety measure, it can also lock you out of your own device if you forget your account credentials.

What You’ll Need

Before diving into the process, ensure you have the following:

  • A Windows PC or laptop
  • A working USB cable
  • The SP Flash Tool
  • The LAVA Z50 FRP Lock File
  • MediaTek USB VCOM drivers installed on your PC

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Download all the required files from the above links. If any link is not working, feel free to leave a comment in the comment box below.

2. Install WinRAR software on your computer or laptop to extract the downloaded files.
3. Extract all the files and paste them to your desktop.
4. Install the MediaTek USB Driver on your computer, and then reboot (restart) your system.
5. Open the SP Flash Tool and follow these steps:
  • Click the Download-Agent button and select the DA_SWSEC.bin file.
  • Then, click on the Scatter-loading button and choose the MT6737M_Android_scatter.txt file from the LAVA Z50 FRP file folder.
6. Navigate to the Format tab and click on Manual Format Flash.
  • Copy 0x6a00000 and paste it into the Begin Address [HEX] field.
  • Copy 0x100000 and paste it into the Format Length [HEX] field.
7. Click on the Start button.

8. Turn off the mobile device and wait for 5 seconds.

9. Press and hold the Volume Up + Volume Down buttons, then insert the USB cable into the device.

10. The SP Flash Tool should automatically detect the phone.
  • If the phone is not detected, try one of the following:
    • Press and hold Volume Up, then insert the USB cable.
    • Press and hold Volume Down, then insert the USB cable.
11.  Wait until the process is completed.
